Jesus gave the directive to His disciples nearly 2,000 years ago. What an overwhelming statement to go into ALL the world and preach the gospel to EVERY creature! That is we are to continue telling the story of the gospel to the people of every continent, every country, every state, every city, and every town. Remembering this directive we are persuaded this is the reason for our existence as a church.

Trinity Baptist Church is in the fullest sense a missionary church having being established as a direct result of a Send The Light Missionary Conference in 1966 under the inspiration of Ralph Sexton Sr. and Missionary James Alexander Stewart. Today the ministry of TBC literally extends around the world to reach the lost with the gospel message. The sun never sets on the missionary outreach of TBC. Over 160 missionaries, mission boards and mission organizations circled around the globe, receive monthly support from the church.

According to the Biblical principle and example of missions as set forth in Acts 13, it is the function , duty , and privilege of the local assembly to authorize, commission and send out it's own missionaries. As a church family, TBC is proud to now have six of it's own “sons” and “daughters” who have responded to God's call to the fields that are white unto harvest . Having the conviction that this sacred duty and mandate be carried out has become the basis for the forming of Trinity Baptist International Missions as a local church mission ministry.

We are not a missionary recruiting board, nor a missionary placement center. Our efforts exists as a ministry of our church family to aid our “sons” and “daughters” who are: filled with the Spirit of God, called of God, and who share our conviction of the importance of the local church in fulfilling our Lord's directive. It is our intent that our ministry be operated within the auspices and control of the Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville, NC.
